Large-Scale Oil Spill Response & Marine Environmental Cleanup - Balikpapan

Project Description

RRL Marine led a major oil spill response and environmental cleanup operation in Balikpapan Bay following a tanker incident. Working under the coordination of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, we deployed 200+ trained personnel, 15 specialized vessels, 3,000 meters of oil containment booms, and 10 skimmer systems. The operation successfully recovered over 85% of spilled oil and treated 12 kilometers of affected coastline. Our environmental monitoring program continued for 6 months post-cleanup to ensure complete ecosystem recovery. This project showcased our environmental commitment and operational excellence in crisis management.
